henna-ing suka suki + making cekodok pisang! :D

السّلام عليكم
 Peace be upon YOU! ;D
13th April 2011.
activities of the day were:
 henna-ing my right hand!
ngeee~ i was damn bored yesterday,,
then i found a tube of Mekah's henna on the shelf,,
without thinking,, i 'conteng' my hand with the "bantai-saja-lah" design using the henna.
so, the outcomes is as seen on the picture above!
ehehe~ complete with my initial 'F',, :P
okayy,, it's so 'burukss' i admit it. LOL!

next,
i was super hungry,so i get into the kitchen and was hunting for FOOD,,
then i found the remaining of 'Pisang tanduk' that my sister brought from her hubby's hometown.
*direct translation of Pisang Tanduk=horn banana*
p/s: untuk orang-orang yang buta alam >> Pisang Tanduk is one of various types of banana that we can found in Malaysia. it's super large in size and the shape causes it to be named as 'Horn Banana'. :D
*it's longer than the kettle's height!
so i was thinking to made the 'cokodok pisang'!
yeahh~ i haven't made the cokodok for quite some time,,
i was quite frequently made it back in 2008/2009 using my sister's secret recipe. ehekk~ ;P
but she has lost her so called 'secret recipes book',
since then, i never made the cokodok and had forgot already how to made one. :P
therefore,, i Google few different recipes on the net and combine them all together.LOL!
thus, this is how it went! ;)
chopped into small pieces.
mashed up the banana.
uneven shapes and sizes of my cokodok. :P
the golden yellow fillings.
aren't these mouth watering enough? :PPP
okay,, these cokodok really reminds me to the way how my late grandma's cokodok tastes like.
no one can beat her cokodok's recipe.
seriously,,her cokodok were super yummylicious!
it was so soft and you can taste the banana much!
not like the cokodok that we can simply found at any nasi lemak stalls every morning,,
their's are usually quite spongy and tastes like the banana cake.
maybe the ratio of the flour is more than the ratio of the banana that they used.
i always prefer the cokodok that uses more banana than the flour. ;)

okay, here's my own mix and match cokodok pisang recipe. :)

ingredients:
  • 1 pisang tanduk OR
  • 3 cups of any types of banana.
  • 2 scoops of brown sugar. [guna senduk nasi ehh.]
  • 1 1/2 cups of flour.
  • 1 egg
  • a pinch of soda bicarbonate
  • 1 tsp of vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup of full cream fresh milk.
  • vegetable oil for frying [i used the sunflower oil.]
  • **set aside for a few minutes.
steps:
  • peel off the banana skin,,
  • then make sure you throw it into the dustbin okay.
  • do not litter, or you may cause a death of innocent people woorrr. LOL! :P
  • cut the banana into small pieces
  • mashed it up until smooth
  • add in all the ingredients except the oil and mix well
  • heat up the oil in the frying wok
  • lastly, fry lahh! adoi.
