South-east Asian girls day out :D

YEAY!  i finally met up both of my south-east asian besties last Tuesday! :D

They are Weeraya, from Thailand and Joanita Srikandi a.k.a. Joan, from Indonesia. Both of them are taking Master Degree here in Malaysia. Wee's currently studying in Monash University Sunway Campus, while Joan is now studying in Univ. of Malaya. They're both Muslims, still single and available!! :P [if i'm not mistaken, hihi]. i actually got to know these friendly girls while taking an IELTS preparatory course at British Council last year. Stayed back and study grouping together, had lunch together, and window shopping together throughout the course back then had cause us to be this close until today. With the existence of the Facebook, we're abled to keep in touch even when both of these girls went back to their country before this. Okay,, this time i should thank Mark Zuckerberg for creating this thing called Facebook. HAHA. Ohh, not to forget, there're actually 4 of us, but the other local girl named Ada as seen on>> THIS entry wasn't free to gathered with us last Tuesday. :(

Uhm, The last time the four of us met was long time ago in November 2011. Don't you remember the entry "a quick tour around Putrajaya" as seen >> HERE.

Yes, it's been a year since our last meeting. How fast time flies isn't it? :') It feels like i just got to know them in class and discussing on how to beat the other groups while playing the language games in Miss Donna's fun class. ;) Even though their mother-tongue isn't the same as mine [both of them can't understand Malay language], and they're actually much older than me, but that never counts when it comes to friendship. :D

i never 'assume' them like 'elder sisters' to me. It doesn't mean that i don't respect them, but i can feel that they're actually the same age with me inside. ;)

So, the plan was that we'd be meeting each other in front of Zara Shop, KLCC at 11.30a.m.

BUT, i only get out of my house to go to LRT station at 11.20A.M. due to my current procrastinating habit. HAHAHA. My bad~ At that time, i felt so guilty and was like "OH MY GOD, they must be waiting for me right now!!". So i was waiting in the train so impatiently and quickly rushed out of the LRT as soon as i reached at KLCC Station. Unfortunately, none of them were there in front of Zara Shop. Thus, i sat on the bench there and SMS Wee. As my watch strikes 12 noon, i've got bored and started to cross-legged on the bench. [to be specific, in Malay we called it as 'duduk bersila']. Not long after that, a guard came to me and gave a sign using his fingger showing that i should put down my feet. Duhhh~ What's the problem?? The man sitting on my left told me "Wahhh~ i never know here got such rules". me: "yeahh, me too!-,-" Then the Singaporean woman sitting on my right asked me "What the guard told chu?". I replied, "He asked me to put down my feet". "Why? izit something to do with religious belief or what?". "No, maybe he afraid that my shoes are dirty and it might leave stains on the bench,MAYBE.:/ ". "Wahhh~ so strict ahh??", she said surprisingly. HEH, what a drama suddenly happened. >,<" So i had a short chat with the Singaporean aunty before Wee came. 

Wee arrived there around 12.20 p.m. and we had quite a longgggggggg chat before Joan arrived at 1.30 p.m. ;) Wee told me that she isn't really happy studying in Monash due to a few things. First, the costs of living there are way too expensive compared to other places. Just imagine, she have got to spend at least RM6 to RM13 for a plate of meal, which i can usually bought it at RM2 to 4 Ringgit in my campus. Second, she have got no close friend there. She told me that surprisingly, the majority of the students there are Indonesian, it's like 60% of them! WHAT??? and the rest are Local Chinese, and a few mix of Korean, European, and all. She's the only Thai people there! Most of her classmates would always communicate in their mother-tongue's language outside the English class. Well, since she couldn't understand the Malay language and any other languages like Chinese and Indonesian, so she felt a bit alienated by the other students. :(

Right after Joan arrived, we had our lunch at the food court. Wee and i had our plates of Pepper Lunch, while Joan had rice with sardines in the lunch box she brought as always! ;D

After finished our meals, we continued chatting a lil bit before went to Surau to perform Zohor prayer. ;) After that, we walked down the underground KLCC tunnel and then walked straight away to the KLCC-Bukit Bintang Pedestrian Walkway. Yeahh, that one with the air conditioner! ohh, everyone could walk there without their eyes opened and worrying about all the motorcyclist, snatcher, or what so ever. :D

We went to Pavillion and then walked down to the newly opened H&M in Lot 10 that evening. Uhhh, looking at the condition of the H&M which was like it's just being robbed, makes me wonder why people here in Malaysia are too obsessed buying all these WINTER clothes in this TROPICAL CLIMATE country? I could still remember how deserted the H&M outlets in the USA when i once visited there last year. Wee bought two pairs of pants for both of her little sisters. So kind of her! ;) i only bought a basic top for myself. Gotta save my money starting from now for my future. YEAHH! :D

We went our separate ways after that. and that's the end! :)))

LOL~ it took me more than a week to post the second part of my entry about my trip in the USA!

sorry lah, busy menternak perut di rumah. duhh~ -,-"

okayyh,, after snapping those unique pictures, we left the mosque and drove away back to the Home Stead by the cars with the help of a GPS and a map.
since my brother, Faruq will be joining us on that afternoon, plus, the due date for the cars to be returned to the 'rent-a-car' was on that afternoon too,,

so quickly they dropped the four of us[me,my parents,and my aunt] at HomeStead before they rushed to the 'rent-a-car'  to return the cars and fetch my bro from the LAX airport which was just few steps away from the 'rent-a-car'.

therefore, my aunty,my mum,and i decided to go to the Ralph's AGAINNN to shop some groceries AGAIN. hahaa~

hoyeahh! i honestly really love shopping groceries yaww. :D

uhhm,while my dad stayed at the hotel room. tido lagi best! :P

errr,,at the Ralph's, i've snapped some pictures of extraordinary vegetables and fruits which could hardly found in any market in Malaysia,,

i bet you couldn't found these at any Kedai BUNcit, Pasar Tani, Pasar Malam, Chow Kit Road, Centre Mart, Ong Tai Kim, Giant, Jaya Jusco,or Cold Storage wooaa~! :O
ehemm,, but as if you could find one, don't mad ahh! :P

6) Kiwano Melons? [i thought it was Soursop a.k.a. Durian Belanda.]

7) Tomatillos? [we only have tomatoes here.]

 10)Artichokes! [recently i've seen a chef was cooking using this on TLC channel!]

12)Red Radishes! [now only i know how the red radish look like. LOL! all these while,makan asam dia jee tau. :P]

it was the US Memorial Day,, so you can found cakes in RED-BLUE-WHITE colour!
 plus, we could get special discount on few items! ;)

after we spent about an hour there, we walked back to our hotel and start to cook immediately! :D

after finish cooking, my brother and the three others came back,,then we ate togethergetherrr. ;))

after Zohor prayer, at 3 o'clock in the evening,we walked out towards the nearest Metro railway station which is at Mariposa Ave.

but it's not that near,,
the distance approximately same with the distance of my former school from my house. :)
after 20minutes of walking, we reached there and took the train to the HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD!

but we have to rerouting the railway tracks twice, so after about one and a half hour,then only we reached at the 'Hollywood Walk of Fame'.

 around 5.30p.m. we bought the tickets for entering the Medame Tussauds.

in the Medame Tussauds, my family and i took a lots of pictures with those famous stars wax statues.

around 7p.m. we get out of the Medame Tussauds and walked around the Hollywood Boulevard. 

my mum bought some postcards, key chains,and a bangle at the local souvenir shops,,

while my sister and her hubby bought sweater and t-shirt for themselves at the Hard Rock.

around 8.30pm we went back to the railway station to get back to Mariposa and next to our hotel.

 the Spiderman had just saved someone! lol~

and the day ended. ;)

-31st of May 2011-
on the next morning, as usual we had breakfast first,then we start our journey to the Hollywood Boulevard just like the day before,,
but this time we went there to get to the 'Starline Tours' terminal,,
then we had the longggg sightseeing tour to the Downtown LA, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and the Santa Monica Beach by the 'Hop-on-Hop-off Double Decker bus.
some of the places was quite boring,,thus, my dad and my mum had fallen asleep during the tour at certain places. LOL!
unfortunately we did not have enough time to complete the whole tour by going to the Universal Studios,, because we arrived at the Santa Monica beach quite late,,
some more, all of us have been to Universal Studios in other place,,so it wasn't too disappointing for us.
for lunch, all of us ate Filet o fish on the tour bus,,
after walking around the Santa Monica beach, we decided not to hop-on the tour bus again,, 
we took the normal bus instead which would helped us to save time,
because we won't have to took the train from the hollywood boulevard anymore which would took one and half hour on the train,and another half hour of walking.
but before we went to the bus stop to take the bus, we went to the Santa Monica Mall first.
i went to the Hot Topic and almost gone mad!!
coz all these while i only could buy Hot Topic stuffs through the website,,
there was so many cool stuffs!! OMG!
three things that attracted me so much was a pair of flat shoes with colourful printed monster on it, second, a bag pack with 3D panda head, third, the Angry Bird nerd t-shirt.

but then,, i have no much time to shop there coz it almost dusk and we have to go back as soon as possible. :[

 guess what sign is this? i found it at the Mall.

it's family restroom? i've never heard one. lol.

okayy,, i think i better pen off now!

party in the USA!! [part 1]

awhh~ finally i have plenty of time to made an entry about my trip to the USA as i promised earlier in my previous entry,, yeahh~

okay, the story of my journey began on the 28th of May 2011,,which is the day after i left UiTM Kuala Pilah,,

our boarding time was at 2.45pm,,the flight number was MH 094 and seat number 31G.

too specific? yeaah,, you're right,, i'm refering to my body pass right now. LOL!

7.50p.m on the same day - we were in transit at Taipei airport,,at this time, i had the opportunity to replying my status comments on FB using my sister's ipad. :P

an hour later, we boarded the same plane,, i fell asleep right after having my dinner. *tak tahu lah pahal mengantuk sangat,,

at 2a.m (Malaysia time) suddently i woke up from sleep and feel uncomfortable and nauseous,,

then i thrown up everything i've ate on the plane,,the lunch and dinner. gahahaa~

*seriously! i never thrown up on plane before this. :(

at 6a.m.(Malaysia time),,they served heavy meals,, again! because of i was still not feeling well, so i refused to eat,,

at 8.40a.m.,29th May 2011 (Malaysia time) / 5.40 p.m, 28th May 2011 (LA time) ~ finally we arrived at Los Angeles LAX airport.
okayyy! sangat laparrr~ i almost gastric. :O luckily i've got few packs of biscuits in my bagpack. :D

unfortunately,,my brother will be joining us on the 3rd day we at LA because he got some sports tournaments if i'm not mistaken,,

so, we have no so called 'tour guide' to guide us how to get to our hotel that we've booked before,,

thus, we have been cheated by the driver who asked us to pay him quite a lot of money,,

we reached at the Homestead Studio Suites Hotel,El Segundo at dusk,,

after Maghrib,we went out for a walk to enjoy the night air in LA.

OMG! it was freezing cold outside!! after passing through few blocks, like the Ralph's Pharmacy Store,Starbucks,the Hewlett Packard building,,then we couldn't withstand the cold anymore and immediately get into the Walgreens Pharmacy store,,

ohh,,don't get it wrong with the word 'pharmacy',,it doesn't mean that they sell medicines,,but they're kinda like a larger version of 7E.

wheeee~ i bought a toy for Faheem there! :D

we went back to our hotel and stopped a few times to snap some pictures with the flowers along the streets,,

29th May 2011 (LA time)
pheww~ the next morning we ate bread with peanut butter and Campbell's mushrooms soup that brought from Malaysia, for breakfast!

*no wonder the luggages were quite heavy! LOL!

after having breakfast, my sis,her husband,and my cousin walked up to the nearest 'rent a car'.

but i don't think it was near, coz they only get there after an hour walk. huhu.

at the same time,, me, my mum, dad, and my aunty went to the Ralph's which was just few steps away from our doorstep. :))

my aunty bought quite a lot of groceries,,cabbage, baby carrots, mayonnaise, salmon fish, and even boxes of flavoured rice!

*kalau dah melayu tuu,,pergi mana pun cari nasi jugak. ;)

right after we went back,, my father 'samak' all the pans,pots and plates provided at the kitchen,,then only we started to cook all those stuffs that we bought at Ralph's!

and yeahh,, we ate Spanish rice with curry fish, and coleslaw for lunch! ;DDD

the Spanish rice tastes sooo sooo yummyyy! woot~woot~

after lunch, with the two cars we rented before, and a GPS,, we decided to go to the Walmart!

but then,,we reached at the...SAM'S CLUB??? but the people there told us that sam's club is owned and operated by the Walmart,,

so we get in and my dad bought some Izod shirts,, but when we get to the counter to pay,,we were told that only members of sam's club could shop there. duhh~

hampeh! but luckily one of the workers there lend us his membership card. :]

next we went around the Beverly Hills area, took some pictures at Hotel California, then sesat here and there,,till night, and went back to the hotel.

30th May 2011.

the next day, after having breakfast,,again! we went to Beverly Hills,, my mum wanted so much to see the houses and sceneries during day time,,

to avoid from getting lost again this time, we bought a map from a lady who claimed herself to be the granddaughter of marilyn monroe!! duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh~ -,-"

plus at first she said the price of the map was $40! but then we got the map with the price of $10.

pheww~ but still! the price is so unreasonable! we could get a free map at Hollywood whattt,, =,="

 *dah macam rumah dalam cerita hindustan je,,

after that, we visited the King Fahad mosque in Culver City,,but the doors was locked,,

then there's a man salaam us,,then talked to us in Bahasa,,but the slang sounds like Indonesian.
actually he's not Indonesian,,but he's Arabian who lived in Indonesia for few years.

he's the one who told us that the mosque only open during prayer time.
so we left after capturing few pictures in front of the mosque,,
but what catches our eyes was the building in front of the mosque, across the road,,
it stated that "WE BUY GUNS" lol!
and one more thing was the signboard at the mosque stated "PARKING LOT FULL",,but the parking lot was empty instead. :0

fuhhh~fuhhh~ i'm 'semput' already,,
i believe that you readers also do the same,,
so maybe i'll continue the story in the next entry.
