Ramadhan 1432H. [2011]

السّلام عليكم
Peace be upon YOU readers! ;)
yeah i know. it has been quite some time i didn't update my blog.
so now it's time for me to do a so called 'summary' for what i've been passed through back in the fasting month. :)

okay, throughout the fasting month, i became a 'maid' in my house! LOL!
since my mum is a school teacher for the afternoon session, so she would come back home quite late, nearly to the breaking fast time.

so she said that i must cook at least a bowl of veggie every evening for the iftar meals.
for the rest of the dishes, like fish or chicken, she would bought it from the Bazaar Ramadhan.
so here's some sneak peek of the dishes that i cooked. ececee~ poyo!
okay, do you notice that all of the five bowls of veggies above just look the same?? LOL!
the only thing that differentiate one to another is just the type of the veggie used. ROFL!
and the must-have-ingredient in my dishes are surely the 'crab balls'.hahaa,,
carrot cake that i've cut into two for my family and my aunt's family.

 dadih. :)
 chocolate jelly. [in the making]

after getting bored of breaking fast at home for weeks, we finally iftar outside.
and the venue was at the Lanai Kijang Restaurant, Bank Negara,,
since my brother has worked at Bank Negara now, he's willing to pay the bill! theeeehee~ :D
the food and drinks at the restaurant is so so cheap compared to other restaurant because it has been subsidized. :)
towards the end of the fasting month, i went out iftar with my old friends, the friends that i met during primary school!
i never thought that i could gathered back many of my classmates back in the year 2002 until 2005 through Facebook by creating a group, with the help of a class picture of mine as my reference. :D
after planning for few days and creating an event invitation on Facebook,, many of my old classmates gave a positive respond by answering either "attending", "maybe" or "not attending".
and the day finally came and that was the first time in my life i'm going out iftar with friends. theeehee~

but what disappointing me was many of the girls and boys suddently said that they couldn't join us.
out of 10 girls that answered "attending",only one did really came. -,-"
so we asked Arif to made a prank calls to the girls and masquerade as Suhaimi.[one of our ex-classmate who's currently studying in France] telling that "i've just came back to Malaysia,,why don't you join us gathered? i miss you!" something like that,,so that they might believe and come to join us.HAHAHAA~
and yeahh! one of the prank call victims came with her lil' sister. :D
after Iftar, we went to the nearest arcade center and spent about half an hour there playing like little kids. :D
the five of us: Arif, Alif Fadhullah, Thalhah, me,and Fatin Amalina. :)

the next night, i went out for Iftar with my family at Cheng Ho restaurant, the Chinese-Muslim food restaurant! :D
as many people had known,, the owner of the restaurant is the Malaysian legendary rock singer, Amy Search. "pheewiit~"
during Ramadhan, the restaurant changed into the buffet concept restaurant. eat all you can! :D
Faheem was making some 'Boboiboy' actions in order to get attention from other people in the restaurant. haha. :P
 my little niece, Aleena! ;)
 my little nephew, Faheem! ;)
nenek secretly feed Faheem a bowl of ice cream while his parents were away! :O HAHA.
Faheem's aeroplane and the bill. :)
Faheem always afraid of cats! :P hihi~

i think that's all for now,,
later on insyaallah i'll update about my Syawal experience. :D
till then c ya!

my fasting experience during childhood. ;)

 السّلام عليكم
PEACE be upon YOU!
ohh,, on the last entry, i've forgot to wish Happy Ramadhan,, i think it's not too late for me to do so,,
so, Happy Ramadhan everyone!
for all Muslims, happy fasting! Don't skip fasting yaww! =)
don't you wonder why did i said, "Happy Ramadhan to EVERYONE!"??
yeahh,, you're right! this is because, in Malaysia, no matter as if you're Chinese, Indian, or whatsoever race and religion that you embrace, we would always welcoming this month right?
this is the time where we could simply find delicious food everywhere at the Ramadhan Bazaars. :D
in a blink of the eyes, many roadsides suddently turned out into food heavens.
everyone regardless of race will be going to those bazaars to get the food they crave for.
how fortunate am i for living in this peaceful, multi-racial country. ;))
we could experience and try out a variety of cultures and their respective traditional food.
okay, okay, enough! what a long intro i've got here,, duhh~ -,-"

erm, my mum would always stopped by at the bazaar after returning from school.[she's a teacher]
yet, she often complained that she's having headache for being stuck in the crowd at the bazaar. hehh~
therefore, today i made 'Cucur Ikan Bilis' [anchovies puffs] and 'Agar-agar Buah' [fruit jelly] for the breaking fast deserts. :D
so that, she need not buy the costly 'kuih' at the bazaar.

however, while making the fruit jelly, i suddently remembered my fasting experience during childhood, which when i was 5 years old. ;)
i still remember that at that time, my mum loved to made the red coloured jelly during Ramadhan too,, it looked just like this one i made.
when i was 5, which was in the year 1998, that was the first year i began to fasting,,
well,,still in learning mode,,thus, i couldn't withstand my hunger and desire,,
so, i secretly ate the jelly in the refrigerator that my mum had made. HAHA! :P
and then, when the time for breaking the fast came, my mum found that quarter of the jelly had been eaten by someone!!
yeahh~ there's no other suspect, of course it's my fault!
[because i'm the youngest among my siblings] :P
finally, in the next subsequent years, i didn't skip from fasting anymore.
i've learned from my mistake. theehee~ :DDD
poyopoyopoyopoyopoyopoyo~~~ xD

everyone have their own stories and memories about their naughty behaviors while fasting during childhood.
and this is my story! what about yours?
do post it on my comment or in an entry, then share it with me. ;)

nway, ensure that you pick the Halal and 'toyyiba' one before you buy! wheee~ :D

till then, c ya!

this is not what i intended,,

السّلام عليكم
 Peace be upon YOU! :DDD
hmm,, ya i know,, it has been such a longgggg time i haven't posted any news here through my talkative keyboard right?
okay,, lots of things i've gone through back in these 7 WEEKS!
so i guess,,this entry would be quite longgggg. theeeeehe~ :P

erm, as many people had known,, most of the 2010's SPM leavers had pursued their studies in universities, matriculations, pre-u, private colleges, preparation program for overseas universites, and so on since June.
well, so do i,,

from the two government's higher instituition that i've been offered for, which were the UiTM Beting, Kuala Pilah and the Kolej Matrikulasi Perlis,,
i've decided to go for the UiTM di hatiku~
therefore, i went to Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan on the 21st of May 2011 which was the registration day for all UiTM branches all over Malaysia.
and thus, i've gone through the "Minggu Destini Siswa" program which was the orientation week for the university.
yea frankly, i did enjoy the orientation week so much!
even though it was quite a tiring week,
well,, ya know like we have to wake up early in the dawn at 4 a.m. everyday, then perform the Subuh Prayer together at the 'Pusat Islam' a.k.a. mosque, and then listen to the 'Kuliah Subuh',,after that queue up in front of the 'Anjung Makan' a.k.a. the cafeteria to have breakfast, then walk up to the lecture theater to listen to the briefings and talks by the academic affairs, student affairs,'Pembantu Mahasiswa' a.k.a PMs, and etc. throughout the day.
and know what,,at 12 midnight only then all of us were allowed to go back to our own residential colleges. :O
however, the fully packed schedule that has been planned for us has caused our friendship among the housemates became very very close!
ohh ya,, i've forgot to tell ya bout my housemates,, ;)
okay, it's SEVEN of us,,
the one that i ♥ so much,, Erniee Natasha Zainuddin a.k.a. Anne, Fatin Nabila a.k.a. Bella, Siti Fatimah Mohd Taha a.k.a Fath, Shamimi Azizan a.k.a Mimie, Musliha a.k.a. Iha, and Izzati a.k.a Izz.
basically we were living in a kind of 'apartment' which has 3 bedrooms, one livingroom a.k.a. RT, one bathroom, and 2 toilets. :)))
okayy, our resident was at the college Seri Menanti 5, at level 5 yaww!
 the highest level! pheww~ :P

nevertheless, i have to leave them after the end of the orientation week. (T_T)
this is because, i've got to go to USA for visiting my brother who have graduated recently and at the same time for a vacation.
i couldn't canceled the trip because my flight tickets will be considered 'burned' if i do so,,
the tickets has been bought since last year i guess,,
hmm,, at that time, my family and i thought that the students intake for all universities would be on September,, but it was in the end of May instead! :'(

so i need to send the leave application letter to the academic affair's office a.k.a. the HEA within the MDS.
i've already told my housemates about this dilemma of mine on the third night i stayed in kuala pilah with them,,
and Anne was the one who's very willing to accompany me every time i need to go to the HEA office.
i feel very sorry for her,,
because of me, she has to rush from the lecture theater to HEA then to college and then back to HEA with me most of the time,,
she did secrifies for me a lotsss,, even though we've known each other only for few days.
i felt very guilty when she slept on my shoulder, on my laps, and even on my back which shown that she's super TIRED,,sobs~
ouppsy,, no worries! during the talks, it's common to see most of the students fell asleep. ;)

other than Anne, i also met another good friend during the MDS, named Sakinah. :)
like the way her name means ; 'tenang' ,,she's such a calm person,,
she took dip. in science, and she came from Johore, exactly the same like Anne!
she was also accompanied me to the HEA office once.
one thing that i can't forgot while with her is the evening that we spent together and shared the stories about our life,,
and eventually she told me that she think i'm such a HUMBLE PERSON!
omg! i think she's the one who's more humble than me,,

besides that, i also met a girl named Sajidah.
she's very soft spoken and also took dip. in science as well,,like the other two girls i told before. ;)
but this one is not from Johor, but she's from Kajang if i'm not mistaken.

another girl that i ♥ her personalities so much is Farah,,
i still remember the first time i met her was at the mosque during the Isya' Prayer.
we greet each other, then i asked her what course she will be taking,,
then she told me that she took dip. in food technology.
so excitedly i told her that "omg! food tech is what i wanted so much! but i get business study instead. :("
then she said i should appeal to change the course and pray to Allah,,then insyaallah i'll get what i wanted. :)
what she said is very wise and heartwarming. ;)
she was also presented a tazkirah at Anjung atas during Maghrib prayer few days after that.
she told us story about two person, one is a Muslim who's very poor and another one is a Non-Muslim who's very rich.
subahanallah, she's so beautiful inside and outside.
i personally adored her so much,,and i wish i could be like her one day. amin.
ohh ya,,she said that previously she was studying at MRSM Kepala Batas.
and she know a friend of mine, Farahin who was also studied there. ;D

okayy,, back to the main story about my leave application,,
finally on the Thursday, the HEA department have their result,,
they didn't allowed me to take the 2 weeks leave because of that i'll miss many things within the 2 weeks.
yet, they asked me to apply for the whole ONE SEMESTER leave instead, to ensure that i'll not miss anything! -,-"
OMG! WHATTTT? one SEMESTER??
when the HEA officer told me that, automatically i felt like crying  in front of her. :/
so i told my mum about the news through the phone that night at 12.30 a.m immediately after we get back to our residential college.
and my mum advised me to take the leave.
she said that it's better to let the UiTM fees 'burnt' rather than the flight tickets 'burnt' right?
then i cried.
okay,so i sent the application form half-heartedly the next day,, and the application was approved the next following day.

urmm,,one of the most touchy part for me was the speech delivered by our honourable Vice Cansellor the night before i left Kuala Pilah.
he told us the story about the challenges he has faced during youth which was very very sad.
i imagined myself to be in his shoes,,and at the same time i can't keep my mind off the fact that i'll left UiTM for one semester the next day..
seriously i can't stop my tears from streaming down to my cheeks at that moment!
sobs~ sobs~

so the last day i'll be leaving Kuala Pilah in May 2011 had finally came...
it was the 'hari penutup MDS',,
we should wear dark colour tudung(scarf), white baju(dress), with a dark colour kain(skirt).
so i wear my form 4's schl uniform for the baju, and my form 5's uniform for the 'kain' which is brown in colour. because i used to be a librarian in form 5.
(the colour of my schl's librarian's kain is brown)
however,,only me wearing the brown colour tudung and kain,, the others was wearing black colour instead.
OMG! i felt like an ALIEN that day for being so 'stand out'. :0
*malunyaa~
nway, thanks to Fath for lending me her tudung! :)

Fath, Izz,and me.
me, Anne,and Iha.

before i left Kuala Pilah for Kuala Lumpur,
i XOXO all of my housemates,,
then i waited my dad to pick me up at Anjung Makan with Izzani, Yanie, and Muzil (my former schoolmates),,
and my handphone's strap that i made by myself had broken,,
the beads fallen everywhere on the floor and i couldn't pick it back,,
perhaps it represented how my heart has been broken and left there.
*okay,FATIN,,why so jiwanggg??!! =,="

okay, for the stories about my journeys to US, i think i'll share about it later on, in another entry.
insyaallah, if god wills.
wassalam.

happy teacher's day.

السّلام عليكم
 Peace be upon YOU! ;)
today i would like to wish HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY to all teachers in the entire world!
including the greatest teachers of mine,,
my mum and my dad, who have been teaching me the real meaning of life for these 18 years, 3 months, and 3 days. ;)
hmm,, for the past 12 years, i would always waiting for the date 16th May to attend the teacher's day celebration at school,, plus, to show how much i love them! ;)
but UNFORTUNATELY, today i'm no longer a school kid. :(
so,, i could only wish all the best for all of them through this post,,
remember! do appreciate your teachers and don't mess up with them! tau tau tau! :D

erm, talking about teachers reminds me to the favourite teacher of mine when i was 6 years old!
her name is Mrs. Nathan!
she was my English teacher when i was studying at Tadika Sempurna, Gombak.
yeahh,, the kindergarten which was founded by Arwahyarham Omar Fidler.
our kindergarten was devided into few classes which represent one teacher and one subject.
okay, kalau tak faham,buat2 faham je lahh ye. :P
my class was Bunga Chempaka a.m. which represented the Mathematics subject and was taught by a Malay teacher whom i totally forgot her name.ouppssy! :P
during the Malay Language subject, we needed to move into the Bunga Raya class,,
and during the English class we moved into Bunga Kenanga class,, which was taught by Mrs Nathan!! yeayy!
during her class, other than teaching us how to write and read English words, she also told us stories, watched the educational tv programs with us, and even taught us how to cook!!
after her class, she oftenly asked me to stay back, and draw for her pictures.
then she would paste it on the walls after making me felt a bit 'proud' by showing it to the whole class!
besides, she was also love to write the word "good" and draw 5 stars on every single pages of my exercise book! theeehee~
omg! she's my biggest fan on drawing at that time. :) i really miss her,, :)

other than Mrs. Nathan, i also do admire some other teachers..
Cikgu Asmawati -  she's my first class teacher ever at sk Gombak 2,,so i do love her muchhh~ and we're still keep in touch on fb. :)

teacher safina - she's the one who made me fall in love with english so much!!! one fact about her that i still remember until today is, there're a big carved on her gold bracelet saying "SAFINA" :)

Ustaz Khadapi - he loved to ask us for questions and he would always answered it by telling us the 'sirah Rasulullah s.a.w' or 'para sahabat' and i love the way he explained to us. and if he didn't know the answer, he will write the question on a piece of paper, and he would answer the question as soon as the next day! seriously, his baju melayu's pockets were totally full with small notes, papers with questions on it, and a black pilot shaker for jotting down the questions! ;D

Cikgu Shah Noramie - the one who call me "anak cikgu". he's my Kajian Tempatan and music teacher. he was also love to praise my drawings and writing. :P (but now i'm no longer good at drawing, and no longer have a nice handwriting!!)

TEACHER HAFSAH - i think she's the most FAVOURITE TEACHER of mine during PRIMARY school. ;) some people said that she's GARANGGG! but for me she's so SWEET even though she MEMBEBEL quite a lottt. HAHA. i still remember, she's the first person i hugged after my mum when i got straight A's for UPSR. :')

Cikgu Sarena - she taught me Arts,,that's why i love her this much >> ♥ ♥ ♥ :D almost the same like teacher Hafsah, because almost everyone in the school dislike her,,in the other word "hate" her coz she was a discipline teacher,, her voice can be heard miles awayyyyy. and her words were quite cruel. LOL! she would tear out the pagesss of her student's sketch book if the painting did not satisfies her,, luckily she never torn out my sketch book! ;) gahahaa,, but for me she's a very soft-hearted inside. =)

Cikgu Marina Zalwarni - she's the only teacher who called me by my nick name. :P

Cikgu Juliana - she was my maths teacher during form 1. i used to feel so ashamed towards her since i 'kantoi' to her for writing some small notes as a reminder in my pencil case, which was mistakenly took by a friend of mine and passed up to her as the 'maths quiz answer sheet'. and the reminder was the one which made me to embarrassed because she was suspecting that i was a bully who hunting for...lalalaa~ only eddy knows about this story.LOL! xD but i think she has forgot bout this tragedy. hope so! :P

Teacher Zuraida Pakir - she's just so sweet and nice! i still remember she invited us to her new house on hari raya. her kids were so cute and chubby yet naughtyyyy! ;D

Teacher Rooslizal - she's loving and caringgggg and very very supportive! she has helped me a lottttts, by giving me her own opinion on what's the best choice of picking the courses for UPU. :) okay, her kids are so cuteeee with their curly hair! ;) i believe that she's a good cook!! just take a look at her fb pictures,, there's a various kinds of dishes that she cooked. but unfortunately i never had the opportunity to taste her cuisine. :(

Ustazah Nazifah - i just love the way she is. ;)

Cikgu Asiah - i admit that i didn't really like her when she was the one who taught us maths in 2008. but after leaving the year 2008, suddenly i really love her! i love the way she used to ignore the twits by her students and the way she was sulking with her students and PERLI us by saying "tak nak blaja maths takpe, saya tutup je buku ni,, boleh rilax2" HAHA. plus, i like her because many others dislike her. huhu~ i DON'T KNOW WHY DID I ALWAYS LOVE THE PERSON WHO HAVE A LOTSSSS OF ENEMY OR RIVAL or something like that. :D

Teacher Aishah - she's so caring too! she's quite strict at marking our class' examination papers.LOL! she oftenly reminded me "Fatin, your grammar is good, but u often did not have enough time to write a long essay!" haha.

Ustazah Che Esah - i always paid my full attention during her class! ;)) she used to be my sister's favourite ustazah in the year 1998! :D and i inherited her 'fav. ustazah'. :P

Cikgu Norlela - she's my chemistry teacher and she was always said to me "Fatin, buat baik-baik ye,,chemistry sayaa!! alahhh haii~" every time i 'salam' and kiss her hands before i'm leaving the lab. ;)

Cikgu Rosidah - she's my mum's bestfriend. she took over my mum's position after my mum left the schl. :D she was also oftenly gave the words of the spirit by saying "Fatin bolehhh!" every time i 'salam' and kiss her hands before she left the class.

Cikgu Paridah Baharudin - she's the most humble teacher i ever met,,but few of my friends didn't really like her,,because to them, she's borring. i'm very sympathy to her since she got some heath problems. :'(

Teacher Norita and Cikgu Azuraidah - they're the library teachers. since i was a librarian,,so i'm quite close with both of them,, they're like friends to me,,especially cikgu azu. she's so funny! she's a joker. :D while teacher norita is more to be a perfect shoulder to cry. she's so supportive,,and always listen to my problems.

Teacher Aina - she's my addmaths tuition teacher-cum-my classmate's mother. she's so GARANGGGGG to other people,, but for me, i can still stand her 'fierceness'. LOL! ;) amazingly i never cried during her tuition class. actually i could simply shed tears when something touching happened,,but dunno why i could be so 'tabah' for during her classes. :P i still remember there was a student of her, accidentally peeing infront of her after being scolded. :D
